Stahl, Northern Illinois University, has prepared a selective list of 35 books, dissertations, articles, chapters and ERIC documents that chronicle key activities in the history of college reading and learning programs. They range from E. M. Brier's dissertation on "Bridging the academic preparation gap at Vassar College and Cornell University, 1865-1890" to E. M.
